Is located in Yakutat, Alaska. Yakutat is unique in providing world class fishing in the Situk River or in the salt water bays surrounding the area. Anglers have unlimited access on the Situk River. Fishermen from the world over visit this part of Alaska to catch some amazing fish. It is one of the few rivers in Alaska that has a large run of Spring Steelhead. There is an excellent run of King or Chinook Salmon following the Steelhead. Mid-summer the river is full of Sockeyes or Reds. The fall brings Silver Coho Salmon run that can fill the rivers and bays. Ron DeNardi is an equal opportunity provider operating under permit from the Tongass

National Forest.

All of these fish are fabulous for frying and enjoying. The beautiful temperate summer weather in Alaska allows you to fish in the daylight for nearly twenty hours, which enhances the overall fishing experience!

Many fishermen pick a particular species of salmon and plan their trip around the time these fish arrive. Silver season in the fall is the busiest time of the year with fishermen following the Silvers in the rivers and bays around Yakutat. Silvers are the most aggressive species of salmon and readily take lures and flies.

Halibut and Salmon fishing is just steps from the dock in the bays surrounding Yakutat. Many fishermen come up for this reason alone and rent a 14’ boat to fish for salmon and halibut in the scenic bays and backwaters. There are hundreds of miles of bays, shoreline, and islands all accessible in sheltered bays by small boats. There are also many commercial salmon and halibut charter boats that will provide everything you need to catch your salmon and halibut.
